    Congratulations on your new foundation!
I served on the Columbus Hospital Foundation Board of Directors for 23 years.
The men and women who served on this board were all 1st generation Italian Americans. They worked so very hard to support the hospital (North Newark) as this was the first hospital built for Italian Americans and their families. The history and stories from these successful executives gave me many more blessings than the millions of dollars I raised for Colombus. This was not a “facility” this was a hospital that was like a great big family. Thousands of people still smile when recalling memories of family members being born or treated at Colombus Hospital. Our hearts all sank when Gov Corzine had it closed. We lost so much more than a building and jobs, we lost a piece of our heritage. Please let me know if I can help you in any way. I miss the ability to help my people…my family….from Italy. You are doing a good thing for all of us. Thank you!!
I still have that Grand Opening picture of you and I when I started the florist in 1985. Good News is I am going to re-open a similar retail store…with not only flowers, but education, and a cup of expresso…brining a bit of Teora, Italy back to NJ.
I will keep you up to date as the months go by!

  3. We work with an Italian market in Atlanta Georgia. I would love to connect you with them to provide articles and information on the Italian culture in Atlanta. The Augello family visits Italy on an annual basis to bring more and more Italian products to their neighborhood family owned market.

How can we get involved with your organization?

    Thank you for your help!

Hello, I am a second generation Italian-American. My friend Micheal Castaldo recommended that I contact you. I am a professional artist living and working in Iowa. I teach art to people as young as 3 and as old as the hills. I work in mixed media collage and handcrafted jewelry.

I am an instructor of Italian and Spanish at Fannin County High School in Blue Ridge, Georgia. We are a small Appalachain Mountain community in Northern Georgia that offers Italian language study to our student body. My goal is to nurture relationships with businesses and organizations that share a common desire to positively promote Italian language, culture and civiliazation.

One of my long term goals for our Italian study program is to initiate a summer Italian language and culture immersion program in Italy. As our general population comes from a lower socio economic status, funding is a primary concern for us.

In principal our school is in favor of extablishing such a program if we can overcome their concerns for personal liability as well as funding options.

Please provide me with more information on how I can participate in Sempre Avanti on a personal and professional basis.
